A £15 million waterpark in Rhyl has been named SC2 and will form a major part of the waterfront development in the town
The waterpark will open in Spring 2019 hopes to draw in over 350,000 visitors to Rhyl in Wales each year.

SC2 will create 65 new jobs and will be a made up of a 1200 metre square water space, with indoor and outdoor flume rides, children’s water play frame and slides, TAG Active zone, party rooms, reception, sales areas, outside Splash Pool – two wet splash pads, sun lounger areas and café terraces to provide wet play entertainment.

An exciting, brand new website promoting the flagship SC2 waterpark in Rhyl has gone live.

SC2 is expected to open in Spring 2019, with construction work well underway on the site next to the Sky Tower on Rhyl promenade. The £15 million waterpark will include Wales’ first TAGactive play arena, indoor and outdoor water play for all ages and abilities, flume rides, beach style paddling, feature slides and themed cafes. There will also be a bar and terrace open seasonally.

As the centrepiece of Rhyl’s waterfront development programme, SC2 is expected to attract an extra 350,000 visitors per year to the town and will also create an anticipated 65 new jobs.
