Accessible facilities within SC2

Upon arrival to SC2 there are disabled parking spaces available to use andΒ wheel chair access leading to the entrance.

Our reception desk is designed to be accessible for everyone and has a lower level to accommodate those with wheelchairs.

Changing facilities

In our Changing Village we have two disability changing rooms all with an individual shower and toilet facilities. Our specialist changing areas have a changing bed, track Hoist and accessible sinks that can be lowered and raised electronically.

Within the changing village we have 38 cubicles with 17 suitable for those who need extra space or want to change as a family.

We have accessible lockers available which are larger than our standard lockers and have space underneath to assist wheelchair users.

If you require any assistance, we have two changing room assistants who will be able to help with any additional support.

The Waterpark

Upon entrance to the Waterpark, the water levels from 0 – 0.9m as a gradient. There are steps for entering or exiting the deeper part of the pool.

There is a pool hoist available for use within the waterpark, please speak to a member of our friendly team who will be able to assist.

The Outdoor Splash Pad

During the Summer months we will be opening the outside Splash Pad. This can be entered via poolside which is ramped to allow wheel chair access. We also have disabled toilet facilities on the outdoor Splash Pad.

We understand that some users find queuing unsettling. Therefore, we advise you book online which will reduce queuing times. You are welcome to relax in the Rainforest Diner while other members of your party checks in.

Disability & Autism friendly sessions – Waterpark

We understand at SC2 that a busy, loud environment might be unsettling for some swimmers with Autism, therefore we now have introduced an autism friendly session with carers swimming for free. These sessions include reduced background noise, limited tannoy announcements, limited numbers in the pool and only turning on selected features and slides.

Autism friendly sessions – Ninja TAG

Each session comprises of 2 games where players must TAG as many coloured lights with their wristband as they can in each 20-minute game. The Main TAG structure is for those who are at least 1.2 metres high. Appropriate trainers are required to play. This session will be held under special conditions to adapt to the needs of all guests. During this session, there will be no music playing, reduced lighting and quieter sessions. Carers wishing to participate will also need to purchase a Carer ticket.

Disability & Autism friendly sessions – Adventure Play

Our indoor play area is an adventure for all. The weather won’t spoil your child’s fun, and it is a great way to get your child to make friends and be active, entertaining, and safe environment. Parents can relax in the Adventure cafΓ© area just a few feet away and enjoy our range of Costa coffee & snacks. This session will be held under special conditions to adapt to the needs of all guests. During this session, there will be no music playing, reduced lighting and quieter sessions. Children under 1.48metres tall are permitted to use Adventure Play. Spectators and Carers can view and assist for free during this session.
